The upcoming Russia-Africa summit, scheduled for next month, aims to enhance and foster comprehensive and equitable cooperation between Russia and African nations. This partnership will span various sectors, including politics, security, economics, science and technology, as well as cultural and humanitarian endeavors.

During a conference on bilateral business cooperation held in the capital of Algeria on June 6, it was announced that similar forums would be organized to engage African countries in preparation for the summit. The summit will gather government and business officials representing all 54 African nations.

The Second Summit and the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum will take place in St. Petersburg from July 26 to 29, 2023, under the theme of “Technology and Security for the Sake of Sovereign Development for the Benefit of Humanity.”

One of the key objectives of the event is to strengthen the comprehensive and equal cooperation between Russia and African nations in multiple spheres, including politics, security, economics, science and technology, and culture and humanitarian affairs.

According to Ivan Nalich, the Trade Representative of Russia in Algeria, the ongoing public discussions within the event’s business program will address the most urgent issues on the Russian-African agenda.

The summit will feature an extensive exhibition serving as a major platform for showcasing the achievements and capabilities of participating countries in the fields of economy, science, ecology, and culture.

During a business conference in Algeria themed “Geopolitical Transformation: Challenges and Opportunities for Business,” the presentation of the Second Summit Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum was conducted. Ivan Nalich emphasized that the participation of Algerian company representatives in the event will provide them with an opportunity to discuss specific areas of trade, economic cooperation, and investment with Russian companies, ultimately strengthening the partnership between the two countries.

Additionally, Algeria and Russia have agreed to deepen their relations to further enhance trade turnover growth.
